Our Leather Messenger Bag is a modern business bag handcrafted from the finest Italian vegetable tanned leather. The wide zip opening provides easy access into a spacious central compartment with room to carry device accessories, documents or even a small lunch box. Rydal Vegetable Tanned Leather Business Bags

We only select the finest vegetable tanned, premium grade, full-grain leather to make our beautiful range of leather business bags and accessories for men. Each raw hide chosen has been through a rigorous pre-selection process and is then hand-dyed using natural tannins of chestnut, mimosa and quebracho in large wooden tanning drums following a centuries old Tuscan tanning process. This is a natural process that is respectful of the environment and takes several weeks of gentle tanning as additional layers of natural tannins are applied. To complete the tanning process the leather is then hand waxed and dried in a different set of large drying drums. 

The quality and origin of the leather we use is underpinned by the Guarantee Label of the Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium. Each of our leather business bags comes with the Guarantee, a symbol of excellence, that certifies that the leather has been produced in accordance with the exacting standards of the Consortium. Each Rydal business bag sold contains this Guarantee Label which contains a unique serial number that allows the Consortium to identify both the tannery producing the leather and the manufacturer.

Our cotton fabric interiors come from the British Millerain Company in England, a company that has been producing cotton textiles since the 1880s, and we only use metalware (e.g. zips and fittings) from well-established and trusted names.
